The recipe I have calls for Ivory but it is scented (though lightly). Dove has an unscented soap and I like Dove better anyway. I am adding essential oils to the base so I would like the purest scent possible. What do you think?
Also…is Dove a soap or detergent? I am pretty sure that Ivory is a soap.
I did not know Ivory had a scent, it was always advertised to be 99.99% pure.
The unscented Dove will work better.
Better give yourself plenty of time to let it dry!!!

Learn How To Make Soap
Dear Aspiring Soapmaker,
So you want to learn how to make soap? Whether you are making it for yourself or as a gift or maybe as a business, there is one simple truth. You’re going to have fun doing it!
There is a problem, though. Making soap is a complicated process and becomes extremely difficult if you don’t know what you are doing. Add to that the use of lye, a caustic chemical, and you have the potential for a dangerous situation to arise.
Unless, of course, you have proper instruction.
Sit back and relax because I’m about to tell you the story of the Soap Making Fun: Your Visual Guide to the Cold Process video. That’s a lot to say (and type) so we will just call it the Cold Process Video Package=)
