100% Natural Cold Process Soap

Surprise! The right kind of soap does wonders for your skin. Healthy skin is dependent upon allowing ones pores to breath while at the same time providing a barrier to retain moisture and protect your skins own natural oil balance. We make only vegetable-based cold process soap because it retains the highest proportions of protective emollient oils and skin-hydrating glycerin while remaining absent of potentially pore clogging animal tallow and harsh chemical solvents. Many of our customers have found that using our properly formulated cold process soap reduces their dependence on hand and body lotion.
Natural Soap or Commercial Soap?

What are the differences between the 2? I cannot get a "real" response besides the crazy hippy saying non natural will kill you and the other crazy greedy business side saying they are better because of some ingredients I cannot pronounce. I know we don't need antibacterial because soap washes away the bad bacteria on our skin. (More like dislodged the bad stuff and dirt down the drain.) So, any scientific answers? Thanks.
I like hand made soap myself. I use it because of the naturally occurring glycerin which stays in the soap. Milled soaps remove the glycerin. I think glycerin is a huge help to keep skin moisturized.

I am going to relocate to Portland, Oregon in about a year & that is where I want to open the little shop. I may also sell organic teas & some of my own baked vegan deserts.

You have more than a snowball's chance in hell if you decide to relocate to Portland Oregon and set up your small store to sell all natural products. Simply because Portland is a mecca for all that is natural, green and sustainable. You might want to concentrate your focus on the South East section of town but there are several other prime choices for a location and this is good.
I would strongly recommend that you talk to a business counselor before you do anything especially spend money. I'd call the local Portland office of SCORE at 503-326-5211 or (go to http://www.scorepdx.org), the advice is FREE. If you can't be there is person you can at least start working with a counselor by telephone or email.
The counselor at SCORE will most likely advise you to write a business plan which is very good advice because it will force you to dig out all of the start up details and the costs of starting a natural products store and force you to also understand all of the aspects of this business including the customers you'll concentrate on (your market ) and how you'll go after them.
You'll need to register the business with the state of Oregon at http:www.filinginoregon.com your state controller's office and make sure that you have any city and county licenses if any are needed where you set up shop. All of this will come out in a business plan.

We use soap/bodywash at least once daily, and it contains a long list of chemicals. Won't their long term use hamper the skin?? Are there any alternative found in nature (plants, herbs, flowers) that can be used to clean the body on the daily basis instead?
Even organic soaps contain preservatives, don't they?
