I only make tiny guest soaps, glycerin based. Like to make tiny ones that can even be given away as party favors. I use plastic molds that are for candy. I never freeze them. Freezing will not evaporate the water in soap, instead it will make the water to be retained. You need to dry it… It needs to sit on the counter until it hardens… They pop out after dry. Then I store them for an additional 1 week to completely dry and package them in paper for long term storage.

I haven't actually tried them yet, but I've been collecting the little disposable cups that pudding comes in from the grocery store. They seem abut the same type & thickness of plastic that the soap molds I bought at JoAnn's are. Of course you'd only fill them an inch or so deep, however thick you want your finished product to be. Good luck!
