I'm going to get Clinique face wash, but I want to know which is more drying to the skin the bar soap or the liquid soap?

I think the bars are pretty smooth and get ur skin soft. but most liquids do too. hmm…tuffy.
i say get the liquid

I think bar soap does, it seems as if it has a stronger scent to it.

Clinique does not dry out your skin. Though I prefer the foam soap.

It depends, check the ingredients. If one has any alcohols it will be more drying. The difference between liquid soap and bar soap is the caustic component. Liquid is made from KOH and the bar is NaOH. My guess is there will be no difference. Buy them both and try it out. It's only money. Nothing is more important than a clear complexion.

They're probably both the same, but if I had to guess, I would say that the bar is more drying. Being "drying" is a bad thing, even if you have oily skin. If you dry your skin out, it will only make it oiler because your skin is compensating for the dryness. If your skin is dry, a drying soap will only make it worse. It's a lose-lose situation.

When you use a bar, you're literally using a dried hunk of soap to wash your face. On top of that, bacteria lingers on a bar. bacteria from the soap dish, your hands, your face, the water residue… all that bacteria just sits there, idle and stagnant, on the bar, ready to be back on your face again the next time you wash your face.

When you use a liquid, you are using a smooth, pleasant, non-greasy product, and you ONLY dispense what you need. The rest of the product remains inside the container, untainted and sterile. On top of that, it's more concentrated. You need just a pump to get all cleaned up. Soap doesn't last as long, and it sure seems like one needs more soap to get clean.

I am a passionate, exclusive fan of the liquid. Hands down!

It depends on the ph level. The higher the ph level, the more drying it will be.
